Hanshin Tigers pitcher Yuki Nishi participated in pitcher-specific drills at Koshien Stadium on May 11, making final preparations through catch play and mound work ahead of his start against the Yakult Swallows at Jingu Stadium on May 12.
In his season debut against the same team on April 30 at Jingu, Nishi allowed two runs on four hits over five innings. After surrendering back-to-back home runs in the second inning, he settled down and held Yakult scoreless the rest of the way, earning his first win in 617 days. Now, with another opportunity in hand, he looks to secure his second victory of the season.
