Indian boxers delivered an outstanding performance at the Asian Under-15 and Under-17 Boxing Championships in Tashkent, with eight girls advancing to the finals in the Under-17 category today. Meanwhile, four other Indian boxers had to settle for bronze medals after losing their semifinal bouts.
In the boys’ Under-17 category, semifinals are scheduled for tomorrow, while the finals for both categories will take place on May 15.
The Under-15 category also saw remarkable success for India. Six Indian boys have secured their spots in the finals, with seven others claiming bronze medals yesterday. Additionally, India’s nine girls made history by advancing to the Under-15 finals, marking a historic achievement for the team.
